5 years exactly today, Google created Google Plus. Despite all the reports of G+ being a ghost town, I can tell you that it has never been more alive!
A big thank you to you Google+, from me, for the good times and the good friends! I echo the sentiments of many when I say that the best thing about G+ is the friends I’ve made here and the adventures I’ve had of the culinary kind and otherwise.
I love that I have friends from around the world with whom I can talk to at anytime. The morning after England got kicked out of Euro 2016, I wake up to dozens of commiserating messages from friends from everywhere! Err, not that it made me feel any better, but…
I love that in the years I’ve been on G+, I have had the opportunity to collaborate on foodie projects with my friends on foodies+. Editorials, events and now… a Foodies+ Christmas Cookbook! Watch this space!
I love the many, many live Hangouts on Air (like the one above) I’ve cooked on and hosted over the years with friends from every corner of the world; from South Africa to Canada to Japan to Australia and lots more in between! If you’d like to see any of these shows, you’ll find them on my AZ Entertainment Channel. My personal cooking videos are here, on the LinsFood Channel.
So, thank you Google+, here’s to another 5 years of fun, friends, frivolity and the occasional sobriety! xx
