This page is your one stop shop for all sorts of conversions you need in your kitchen. From oven temperature conversions to metric and imperial conversions to cake tin conversions.
This is a general guide.
Cooking conversions are not an exact science, there is always a small discrepancy involved when converting. So the units of measurement I give you here are how I do it. For eg, 1 oz = 28.3 grams. Some people will give you 25, but I choose to round it up, as appropriate. Primary school math!
In cooking recipes, these differences make no difference. It’s when we are baking cake, that we need to be careful. The cake recipes here on this site are all calculated to the best possible value, and may differ, as I see fit.
It’s a work in progress, so bear with me while it gets done! xx
